Visited popular travel app (2.5+ million downloads) where users can scratch off their travel bucket list on a real-time world map, search thousands of curated lists and compare their travel journeys with their friends. The app was developed with Flutter on the front end with a Spring Boot/Java server running on AWS. Visited is meticulously optimized to run its real-time map through the GPU. The app can process thousands of data points and millions of users without dropping any frames.

Trip Catcher

Tripcatcher enables drivers to track and log their mileage, review receipts history and export their expense claims to industry-standard providers such as Xero. It utilizes Flutter for rendering its user interface and native background services to allow the app to record drivers’ journeys in the background while they travel for hours.

The Building Blocks of Rock

The Building Blocks of Rock is a dynamic catalogue of guitar riffs, licks, scales and chords organized to help guitarists master their instrument. The app has a Flutter front end with dynamic data powered by Firebase. The app takes advantage of Flutter’s ability to control every pixel on the screen with low-level canvas rendering that generates a pixel-perfect image regardless of the screen’s resolution.

XWalk

Xwalk is a secure, offline-first Nordic walking app. In an era where data privacy is deeply concerning for users, Xwalk’s tracking data never leaves the user’s device. All the user’s walks and exercise data is securely stored in a local SQLite database on the user’s phone.

The Fertility App

The Fertility App allows patients going through their fertility journey to keep track of appointments, medication, questions for their doctor as well as search for clients that best suit their needs. The app was developed in Flutter with a Firebase backend, which is the perfect technology stack for an app at this scale.

BallPark

Ballpark Deal is a mortgage calculator that helps those who wish to rent out their properties determine the optimal price to turn a profit. The app uses statistical modelling to calculate the ideal “profit price” based on a multitude of inputs.

Alphaben

Alphaben is a literacy app for kids that helps motivate and improve their reading comprehension. Brian has integrated the native eBook reader into the primary Flutter app via a Kotlin embedded view.

Party Mafia

Party Mafia is a real-time party game built in Flutter that uses customizable Avatars. Brian worked with the development team to encourage best practices, performance optimizations and made sure that the app remained technically sound.

EXIT Life Ready

EXIT Life Ready provides users with a secure vault where they can save their most important life information that can be passed to their family after they pass. The product also included a Last Will and Testament and Power of Attorney generator, which can create legally binding documents at a fraction of the cost of hiring a lawyer. EXIT utilizes Flutter, Node.JS/Typescript and Supabase to create a secure, encrypted at rest platform that users can trust with their most precious data.

Pay Off Debt

Pay Off Debt is an innovative financial calculator that enables users to take the necessary steps to live life debt-free. The app is written purely in Flutter. It is an example of rapid prototyping and MVP (Minimum Viable Product). The initial project went from ideation to live in the app stores in under two weeks.

Honeycomb: Math Puzzle

Math Honeycomb is a fun math crossword game built in Flutter. It was built to help children improve their math skills. It features a dynamic directed graph generation algorithm that can create infinite puzzles that are always fun and engaging to play.
